Recently completed one more class of Software Estimation Training. The Software Estimation Training is a complete course covering most important and prevalent software estimation techniques. It is a 16 hours program covering WBS Estimation, Story Points Estimation and Function Points Analysis techniques full of activities and practically doing the estimation in the training on each technique. It addresses the burning issues in software estimate and software development arising due to poor estimations.
It includes the process of estimation, trade off between time and resources, efforts/scope distribution across phases and releases, the estimation approach like Analogous, Parametric, Three-Points etc., estimation techniques like WBS, Story Points and Function Points in details, comparison among them to select the right technique for a giving project and how to apply them in Traditional, Hybrid and Agile projects.
It goes into details of these techniques, and provide templates to perform the estimation in the class on a given case study to estimate efforts, workout timeline, resource profiling, resource requirements, preparing S-Curve, estimating costing, deciding on the pricing to the customer and selecting the right methodology whether the project is to be executed in a traditional way, hybrid or agile way.
