The business analyst seeks formal acceptance from the stakeholders for the completed deliverables. This process involves obtaining sign-offs and documented confirmation.

Managing Change Requests:

During the Validate Scope process, any requested changes or modifications to the deliverables are documented and processed through the integrated change control system.

The importance of Validate Scope lies in ensuring that the project deliverables are correct and complete. In other words , they are of acceptable quality and align with stakeholder expectations. It helps prevent scope creep and ensures that the project remains on track.

Control Scope:

Control Scope is an ongoing process that starts during project planning and continues throughout project execution. Its primary objective is to monitor and control any changes to the project scope or deviations from it. The key activities involved in Control Scope include:

Monitoring Scope:

The project team closely monitors the project scope, including deliverables, requirements, and objectives. Any deviations or potential changes are identified and assessed.

Evaluating Change Requests:

Change requests are evaluated based on their impact on the project’s scope, schedule, budget, and overall objectives. All changes go through Change Control Process in which, the change control board reviews and approves or rejects the requests.

Managing Scope Baseline:

The project scope baseline, which includes the approved project scope statement, deliverables, and associated documentation, is updated whenever changes are approved.
